My trauma recovery work centers on EMDR, a structured therapy that uses bilateral stimulation (often eye movements) to help your brain reprocess disturbing memories so they feel less vivid, less overwhelming, and more "in the past." Before any EMDR begins, we spend time building coping skills, grounding tools, and a sense of safety, especially if you live with PTSD symptoms, panic, or chronic shame.
During EMDR, you remain in control while we gently target specific memories, body sensations, or beliefs like "I'm not safe" or "It was my fault." Many clients notice fewer nightmares, less startle, and greater emotional distance from what happened. Sessions are offered via secure telehealth to adults across Hawaii.
